Your ChatGPT or Claude reads your shop and answers you
You already chat with an AI about everything else. Now give it your shop: “how much did we sell this week against last week?”, “what is running low?”, “what was on receipt 1043?” — and it answers from your real numbers in PosMasr Cloud. It only reads: no AI can sell, refund or change anything. And it is your own AI: you pay its maker as you do today, and we charge nothing per question.

Your shop, opened to the AI you already use — through a door you hold the key to
PosMasr Cloud gives every shop its own connection in the standard language AI assistants use to reach other programs, called MCP. ChatGPT, Claude, or any assistant that speaks MCP connects to https://api.posmasr.com/mcp with a key that you make, and from then on it can look up your sales, stock, products and receipts while it answers you. You ask in plain words; it fetches the numbers and explains them.

Your AI, your subscription
We do not resell an AI. You use the one you already pay for, and the shop pays us nothing extra for each question it answers.

It reads. Full stop.
There is no tool that writes: no selling, no voids, no refunds, no payments, no settings, no deleting. Not now, not by mistake.

You hold the key
A key per AI, with what it may see ticked by you, and if you like one branch and a last day. Revoke it and that AI stops on the spot.
Ask the way you would ask your accountant
No report to build, no filter to set. Type the question as it comes to you — in Egyptian Arabic or in English — and the AI picks the right tool, reads the numbers and answers in a paragraph, a list or a table.
- “How much did we sell this week against last week, and which day dropped?”
- “What is about to run out, and what should I order before Thursday?”
- “Top ten products this month — and which of them actually makes me the most profit?”
- “What expires in the next two weeks?”
- “What was on receipt 1043, and who sold it?”
- “Which hour of the day is busiest, so I know when to add a cashier?”
- “How much is the large tea, and how many do we have left?”
- With the matching ticks: “who is clocked in right now?”, “what bookings do we have today?”, “how much does Mr Hassan owe?”
In the manual: Connect your AI

It can look. It cannot touch.
This is not a promise in a settings screen — the connection simply has no tool that writes. Whatever the AI is asked, by you or by a web page that tries to trick it, there is nothing on our side that sells, voids, refunds, takes a payment, changes a setting or deletes a thing.
- A key sees only its own shop — and only its branch, when you chose one.
- A key is not a sign-in: it opens nothing but the AI connection. Nobody gets into your account with it.
- Product names and notes go to the AI as data, never as instructions — and the AI is told so.
- Customers and the team are personal data, so their ticks start off. Without the Customers tick, a customer on a receipt or a booking reaches the AI as “hidden”.
- A key that is refused 20 times within an hour for things it may not see is paused at once, and you get the “AI key paused” alert. Check what it was asked, then resume or revoke it.
- Your questions themselves are not stored — only which tool was called, when and how many rows came back.

One key per AI, and you decide what each one sees
A key starts with aik_. You give it a name you will recognise — “My ChatGPT”, “The accountant's Claude” — tick what it may see, and if you like limit it to one branch and give it a last day.
- It is shown once, right after you make it. Copy it then: we keep only a hash of it, so even we cannot show it to you again.
- Revoke is instant: the AI using it stops at the next question.
- A key cannot be widened later. Want it to see more? Make a new key — that way every key has a clear record of what it was allowed.
- Each key: 60 calls a minute and 2,000 a day, and lists stop at 50 rows — the AI is told to ask a narrower question.
- Only the owner makes keys. A manager or a cashier cannot connect an AI to the shop.

What each tick lets the AI read
The AI does not see your database. It sees a short list of tools, each one a question it may ask us — and only the tools whose tick you gave the key. Every key also gets help, which reads PosMasr's own help so the AI explains the program correctly.
| Tick | On a new key | Tools | The AI may read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reports | On | shop_summary sales_report compare_periods top_products | Sales and receipt counts, the average receipt, by day, hour, cashier, branch or product; comparisons; best sellers |
| Stock | On | low_stock stock_level expiring | Quantities, what is running low, expiry dates |
| Reports + Stock | On | profit | Profit, which needs both sales and costs |
| Products | On | find_product product | The catalogue: names, prices, barcodes |
| Receipts | On | receipt receipts_today | A receipt by its number, today's receipts |
| Customers (personal data) | Off | find_customer customer | Customers by name or phone, and what they owe |
| Bookings | Off | bookings_today find_booking | Today's appointments, find an appointment — only when Bookings is on |
| Team (personal data) | Off | who_is_in attendance_today | Who is clocked in, today's attendance — only when staff attendance is on |
| Every key | Always | help | PosMasr's own help guide, so the AI explains the program the way it really works |
Five minutes, from Settings to the first answer
Settings → AI access is the one page for all of it, and only the owner sees it.
In PosMasr Cloud
- Settings → AI access. Tick “Allow AI access to this shop” and the sentence under it, then save.
- Under New key: a name, what this AI may see, and if you want one branch and a last day. Make the key.
- Copy the key now — it is shown only this once.
- Under it, four setup cards are already filled with your address and your new key. Pick yours and follow it.
- Ask your first question. Then open What the AI did: the last 50 calls — when, which key, which tool, how many rows, answered or refused.
Making, revoking, pausing and resuming a key, and switching AI access, also appear in Team → Activity.
The four ready cards
- The Claude desktop app (Windows, Mac): needs Node.js installed once on that computer; you paste the card's text into Claude's config file and restart Claude.
- claude.ai and the Claude phone apps: Settings → Connectors → add a custom connector with the card's address. Needs a paid Claude plan.
- ChatGPT: switch on developer mode in its settings, then create a connector with the card's address. Needs a paid ChatGPT plan.
- Cursor, or any MCP client your developer uses: the server address and the header to send.

On Business and Chain — and in the free trial
Connect your AI comes with Business (2,500 EGP a month) and Chain (5,000 EGP a month). Every new shop starts with 14 days of Business with no card, so you can connect your AI and ask it about your own shop before you pay anything. The full comparison is on the PosMasr Cloud page.
Online only
It lives in PosMasr Cloud. The program on your PC does not have it.
The owner's switch
AI access starts off. Only the owner turns it on and makes keys; while it is off, every key is refused.
Reading, for now
Today the AI reads and answers. It does not act in the shop, and we are not promising that it will.
Quick answers about connecting your AI
Does this cost extra per question?
Not from us. It is part of Business and Chain. You pay your AI provider for your own subscription, as you already do; we do not charge per question or per call.
Can the AI sell, refund or change a price by mistake?
No. The connection has no tool that writes, so there is nothing for it to call — not a sale, a void, a refund, a payment, a setting or a delete.
Does PosMasr keep my questions?
No. We keep which tool was called, when, by which key and how many rows came back — the last 50 are on the “What the AI did” list — but not the question you typed. What your AI provider keeps is between you and them.
Will it see my customers' phone numbers?
Only if you tick Customers on that key. The tick starts off; without it a customer on a receipt or a booking reaches the AI as “hidden”.
My accountant uses Claude. Can I give him a key?
Yes — make him his own key, name it after him, tick only Reports and Stock, give it a last day if you like, and revoke it the day the work is done. Your own key stays untouched.
What happens if a key leaks?
Revoke it in Settings → AI access and it stops at once; make a new one for your AI. A leaked key can still only read what its ticks allowed — and if someone keeps asking it for more, it pauses itself after 20 refusals in an hour and alerts you.
Is it in the program on my PC?
No. Connect your AI is a PosMasr Cloud feature, on Business and Chain. If you are on the program on your PC and want it, see online or on your PC.
