Connect your AI
Choose the appropriate workspace and branch. Your plan, enabled modules and team permissions determine which actions are available.
39Connect your AI
Your own AI — ChatGPT, Claude or any assistant that speaks MCP — reads your shop and answers “how were sales this week?”, “what is running low?” or “what was on receipt 1043?”. It only reads: it cannot sell, void, refund, take a payment, change a setting or delete anything. The AI is yours: you pay its maker; we charge nothing per question.
Plans: Business and Chain, and the {{cloud.trial_days}}-day trial; the owner only. Not in the program on your PC.
39.1 Switch it on and make a key
- Settings → AI access → tick Allow AI access to this shop → Save. While it is off, every key is refused.
- New key: a
nameyou will recognise (“My ChatGPT”), what this AI may see — Reports, Stock, Products and Receipts are ticked; Customers, Bookings and Team are not, because they are personaldata— and if you want, one branch only and a last day. Make the key and copy it now: it is shown once. - Paste it into your AI. The page shows ready cards with your address and key: the Claude desktop app (install Node.js once, then Settings → Developer → Edit Config), Claude on the web and the phone (Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector), ChatGPT (Settings → Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode → Create). These need the AI's paid plans. Any other MCP client:
https://api.posmasr.com/mcpwith the key as a Bearer header. - Ask: “Using my shop tools, how were sales today?”
39.2 Safety and limits
- Revoke stops a key at once. A key cannot be widened later: make a new one, so the record stays clear.
- Each key: 60 calls a minute and 2,000 a day; lists stop at 50 rows.
- A key that asks 20 times within an hour for something it is not allowed (a web page may have tricked the AI) is paused, and with owner alerts on you are told at once. Check, then Resume or Revoke.
- What the AI did lists the last 50 calls: when, which key, what it read, answered or refused. The questions themselves are not kept.

On this screen
Online · Ask your shop
Ask in plain words — in English, Arabic, Hindi or Urdu. The answer is worked out from your shop's data; nothing is guessed.
Any other question goes to your AI, which reads the same reports and says what it used.
Answered by your AI from the shop's own reports — check the figures on the reports pages before you act on them.
Ask the same questions in Telegram: link your account once, then write to the shop's bot.
To ask these questions from Telegram, two things are needed first:
Owner alerts are off · Open the settings · Link my Telegram · the shop's Telegram bot, set up in Settings → Integrations · Telegram questions are switched off (Settings → Owner alerts).
Online · AI access
Connect your own AI — ChatGPT, Claude or any assistant that speaks MCP — to your shop, and ask it things like "how were sales this week?" or "what is running low?". The AI is yours: you pay its maker, we charge nothing per question.
Keep it like a password: anyone with this key reads what its scopes allow until you revoke it. We keep only a hash.
AI access is off: every key is refused until you switch it on.
Paused after too many refused calls — check what that AI was asked to do before you resume it.
Use the key you just made (or put yours where you see aik_…). Your shop's AI address:
Back · Your new key — copy it now. It is shown only this once. · Copy · Allow AI access to this shop · I understand: my AI sees what each key's scopes allow · AI access is off: every key is refused until you switch it on. · Save · Keys · No keys yet. Make one below for each AI you connect. · Name · Can see · Last used · Calls · Revoked
