What we know about you, what we never see, and what happens to your data in each edition of PosMasr.

1. The offline edition: your data stays on your PC
The program stores everything — products, sales, customers, settings — in plain files on the shop's own computer. Nothing is sent to us. The owner portal and the phone pages talk directly to your own till over your network, not to our servers. We have no copy of your data and cannot see, recover or delete it.
- Optional connections you switch on yourself: the e-receipt feature sends receipts to the Egyptian Tax Authority; the daily summary sends a message to a Telegram bot or an e-mail address you configure; the WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with the receipt text. Each goes to the party you chose, never to us.
- The new-version check (on by default, managers only, once a day) requests one small file from posmasr.com. That request carries the program version and your IP address like any web request; we keep only standard server logs and no per-shop record.
2. The cloud edition: what we host and how
- Your shop's data is stored on our servers in two locations, the United States and the European Union, with automatic failover between them. It is encrypted in transit and backed up daily.
- We access it only to support you when you ask, to keep the service running, or when the law requires. We never sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything but running your account.
- You are the data controller for your customers' data; we are your processor. You can export everything at any time. Thirty days after you cancel or the account is suspended, the data is deleted from both locations and their backups.
3. What reaches us from this website
- What you send us by WhatsApp, e-mail or the contact form: your name, phone, shop name and message. We use it to reply, issue license keys and support you, and we keep it as long as you are a customer or a lead.
- The machine code you send to get a key identifies a PC, not a person, and we keep it with your license record.
- The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms. The site uses no advertising trackers; the demo site sets only a session cookie.
4. Your rights
Ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (we keep what the law obliges us to keep, such as invoices). Write to sales@bytesglue.com or WhatsApp +20 100 011 9878. This policy is governed by Egyptian law, including the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
