Am Said's bakery in Tanta
Am Said has had a bakery and sweet shop in Tanta for twenty years. On Fridays the queue reaches the pavement, and the regulars swear by his basbousa. On Google, though, he has eleven reviews, while the new place two streets away has three hundred. People searching from their phones see the three hundred.
His son tried a printed sign on the counter, then asking customers in person. The sign faded into the wall, and asking felt awkward in a queue. The receipt was the place left: every customer takes one, and reads it at home with the sweets still warm.

What prints
Once the link is set, every sale receipt ends, after your footer lines and before the closing “Thank you”, with:
- the line “Happy with us? Scan to rate us”, in the receipt's language;
- a QR of your review link, drawn by the same code that draws the other QR codes on your receipts. It prints on the thermal printers you already use, on 80 mm and 58 mm paper.
It prints on sale receipts only: never on a return, a void, a delivery slip or a test print, so a customer who came back with a complaint is not asked for stars.
Where else the link shows
- The receipt sent on WhatsApp: when you send a receipt from the Receipts page, the text ends with “Rate us:” and your link. The program on your PC adds the same line to its WhatsApp receipt.
- The customer's receipt page online gets a Rate us button, beside “Order the same again”; see order the same again.
Switching it on
- Copy the “write a review” link of your shop from your Google Business Profile. Any other web link works too, a Facebook page for example.
- PosMasr Cloud: Settings → Shop → Review link (Google). Each branch has its own, like the receipt header and footer, so each branch can collect its own reviews.
- The program on your PC: Settings → General → Review link (Google). A PC linked to PosMasr Cloud takes it like the receipt footer.
- Save, ring a small sale, and scan the receipt with your own phone. To switch it off, empty the field.
A short link like g.page/r/… gets its https:// by itself; something that is not a web address is refused with “The review link must be a web address”, and the QR stays off. The steps are in the manual.
A few honest tips
- Do not offer a discount for a review. Google's own rules forbid rewarding reviews; the QR asks, and that is enough.
- Answer the reviews, the good and the bad. A polite reply to a bad review reassures the next customer more than five stars.
- Say it once in words to a regular: “The code at the bottom, if you have a minute.” The receipt does the rest every day.
What it does not do yet
• The A4 invoice does not print the review QR; the thermal receipt does.
• No count yet of how many receipts went out with the QR this month.
• It does not read your reviews or reply to them; it only brings the customer to your review page.
Which plans include it
Every plan, nothing to add. In PosMasr Cloud: Basic, Cashier, Shop, Business and Chain, on the online till, and on the Android tablet till. In the program on your PC: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Prices are on the prices page.
Quick answers
Does the QR make the receipt much longer?
A few centimetres: one line and a small square, after your footer.
I have two branches. One link or two?
Online, each branch has its own field, so each branch's receipts send customers to its own Google page.
Will it print on returns?
No. Sale receipts only.
Can I use my Facebook page instead?
Yes, any web link is accepted. The line on the receipt stays “Happy with us? Scan to rate us”.
