A café in Alexandria
Mona has a small café in Smouha, Alexandria, and three young people take turns at the till: Karim in the morning, Salma and Omar in the evening. The TV over the counter has been a menu board for months, with pictures and prices. After a busy week Mona wanted to thank the team, but a paper on the wall gets forgotten, and a message in the staff group is something no customer ever sees.
She switched the team slide on for that screen. Now, after the menu pages and the offers, a slide comes round: “Top sellers this week”. Karim in the middle, a step higher, with the gold medal and “84 orders” under his name; Salma with silver, Omar with bronze, a “Thank you, team!” line and a little confetti. Customers in the queue look at it, and Karim took a photo of it for his mother.

What the TV shows
- The title: top sellers today, this week or this month, in the screen's language (in both, when the screen shows two languages together).
- A podium of three: the first in the middle, a step higher, with gold, silver and bronze medals. A screen standing upright shows them as rows instead.
- For each person: the first name, and a photo if you added one, or else the first letter on a coloured circle.
- One figure at most: the number of orders (the default). Ranked by amount with money hidden, there is no figure at all — the medal says it. The amount in pounds shows only if you tick “show amounts”.
The slide joins the rotation after the menu pages and the offer slides, for the same seconds per page you set for that screen.
Who is counted
The slide reads each cashier's sales as the till already records them with every sale — the same figures as the sales report by cashier. So the person counted is the one who rang the sale on the till. Nothing new is written while you sell.
- The ranking: by number of orders, or by amount if you choose. A tie goes to the other measure, then to the name.
- Left out: anyone you marked “not on the board”, anyone who sold nothing in the period, and a manager whose only action was a void (a void takes the receipt off whoever does it).
- The name: the name you typed for the screen, else the first name from the staff file, else the first name of the till user. A name with no letters (a phone number, “1234”) is never shown, and that person is left out. The full name and the login never reach the TV.
- The periods follow your shop's clock: today; the week from Saturday; the month from the 1st.
- At least two sellers. If fewer than two people sold in the period, the slide does not show, and the screen rotates exactly as before.
Switching it on
- As the owner or a manager, open Settings → Screens and choose the menu board you want.
- In its Team slide part: switch it on, choose the period (today, this week — the default — or this month), the ranking (by orders or by amount), and “show amounts” if you want it (off by default).
- From Who may appear on the team slide on the Screens page: tick “not on the board” for anyone who should not show (you, if you sell yourself), type the name for the TV (letters only, 20 at most), and add a photo if you like (it counts in your plan's picture space).
- Press Preview the team slide to see it before the customers do.
What it does not do yet
• Not in the program on your PC. The customer display of the program on your PC does not show this slide.
• One “who may appear” list for the whole shop, not one per branch.
• Two measures only: orders or amount. “Most items” is not there.
• It is a thank-you, not a commission sheet. Commission and advances have their own place in staff attendance.
Which plans include it
The team slide is part of the menu boards, so it is in Business (2,500 EGP a month) and Chain (5,000 EGP a month, + 750 per extra branch). You do not need to switch the staff module on: each cashier's sales exist for every shop. Every new shop starts with 14 days of Business, no card. The full comparison is on the PosMasr Cloud page.
Quick answers
Will customers see how much each cashier sold?
No. Amounts are hidden by default; they show only if you tick “show amounts”.
I sell at the till myself. Will I be on the board?
Yes if you sold, unless you mark yourself “not on the board”.
Only one person works today. What does the slide show?
Nothing: at least two people must have sold in the period; otherwise the screen rotates without it.
Does the barista who makes the drinks count?
Only for the sales he rings on the till himself: the slide counts the person who recorded the sale.
