Saturday, a glass of tea
Mr Magdy has a supermarket in Tanta. He knows his shop by heart, but not in numbers: he has not opened a report since the summer. What he does open, all day long, is voice notes — from his sons, his suppliers, his brother in Cairo.
So now, on Saturday at half past eight, before he opens the shutter, a one-minute voice note arrives from his own shop. He listens with his glass of tea: the week was better than the one before, Thursday was the best day, the oil is about to run out, and two cartons of a juice have not sold in six weeks. One thing to do this week: order the oil before Thursday.

What it says
About a minute, in plain spoken sentences, from your shop's own figures for the seven days before Saturday, every branch together:
- Sales against the week before, the receipts and the average receipt.
- The best day, and the three top-selling items.
- Cash against card.
- How many items are running low, and the money in slow stock (when your plan has stock).
- The team's hours, when attendance is on; the bookings served, when bookings are on.
- One suggested action. From the plain template it is, in this order: what is running low, else the slow stock, else a drop of 5 % or more, else keep the top seller on the shelf.
Who writes it
Your AI, when the AI answers of Ask your shop are on for your shop: it gets the figures as data, writes about sixty seconds of speech with exactly one suggested action, and the note counts as one of the day's free questions. The card then says “Written by your AI from the shop's own reports — check the figures on the reports pages before you act on them”.
Otherwise a fixed template with the same figures: when the AI is off, out of questions for the day, or did not answer — the note still comes, and the card says “Made from the shop's own numbers”. Then a voice reads it out in Egyptian Arabic (or in English, if that is your language).
Where it arrives
- The app, always: a Your week card at the top of the owner alerts page, with the player, the words, “Download the audio” and “Share on WhatsApp”.
- Telegram: a real voice message from the shop's own bot, if you use Telegram for alerts.
- E-mail: the words, with a button to listen on the page.
It is made once a week: Saturday from 08:00 your shop's time, and after your quiet hours if they run later.
Switching it on
- As the owner, open Settings → Owner alerts, switch owner alerts on and choose the channels.
- Tick Send me “Your week”. It is off until you tick it.
- Do not want to wait for Saturday? On the card press Make last week's note now.
What it does not do yet
• Switching on shop by shop. Until it reaches your shop, the setting does not show.
• No voice note on WhatsApp. “Share on WhatsApp” sends the words and the page's link; the audio itself cannot travel that way.
• No catch-up. A Saturday missed is not sent on Sunday; the “make now” button covers it.
• Not in the program on your PC. It is PosMasr Cloud only.
• Managers see it only if the owner lets them see owner alerts.
To be read aloud, the words (totals, top sellers' names, counts — no customer data) go to a text-to-speech service; with your AI on, the figures go to the AI first. The words are kept 400 days, the audio in your shop's file space, and both are deleted with your account.
Which plans include it
| Plan | Your week (app + e-mail) | Voice message on Telegram |
|---|---|---|
| Basic, Cashier | — | — |
| Shop (1,999 EGP a month) | Included | — |
| Business (2,500 EGP a month) | Included | Included |
| Chain (5,000 EGP a month) | Included | Included |
It goes with owner alerts; there is no separate add-on. Written by your AI, it uses one of the day's free questions (Shop 20, Business 50, Chain 100). See the PosMasr Cloud page.
Quick answers
Can I trust the figures?
They come from your own reports. When your AI wrote the note, the card asks you to check the figures on the reports pages before you act.
Can my partner hear it?
“Share on WhatsApp” sends him the words and the link; the page itself opens for signed-in users of your shop.
I have two branches. Two notes?
One note for the whole shop, every branch together.
How do I stop it?
Untick it in Settings → Owner alerts; the e-mail also says how.
