Questions
How is overtime counted here?
Any work beyond the day’s normal hours is overtime, taken from the end of the shift: the part that falls at night at the night rate, the rest at the day rate.
A shift that crosses midnight?
Type the clock-out as it is (say 01:00) and the calculator takes it as the next day.
How is the hourly wage worked out from a salary?
The salary ÷ 30 = a day’s wage, and that ÷ the normal hours = the hourly wage. A 6,000 salary and 8-hour days = 25 EGP an hour.
