Account and sign-in
Choose the appropriate workspace and branch. Your plan, enabled modules and team permissions determine which actions are available.
2Login & accounts (cashiers)
On first run the program asks you to create the manager account (name + password) — it has every permission. After that, each start shows the login screen: pick the user, type the password, press Login.
- Manager: everything (sell, reports, inventory, credit, products, settings, exit).
- Cashier: selling only. The management buttons are hidden.
- Add a cashier: Settings → Users → Add user. Change passwords or disable accounts there too.
- Users button (3.2): the manager has a Users button in the top bar next to Products — it opens the Users tab straight away. And if the shop is still on the manager account alone after 3 days, a one-time reminder suggests adding cashier accounts.
- Switch cashier (top bar) opens the login screen to hand over the shift without closing the program.
- Every receipt records the cashier; reports can be filtered by cashier.
Manager cards & card login (3.1)
Instead of typing a password every few minutes, a manager can swipe a card — like the supervisor at a big coffee shop: the cashier wants to refund a receipt, the supervisor swipes their card on the reader and it goes through. Any account (manager or cashier) can also log in with its card instead of the password.
- Which reader: any USB card reader that types like a keyboard — a magnetic-stripe reader (MSR) or an RFID/NFC reader. It's sold as a “USB card reader” for roughly 300–900 EGP, and blank cards cost a few pounds each. Plug it in and that's it: no drivers, no settings.
- Register a card: Settings → Users → open the user → the Login card row → Swipe the card now, swipe the card on the reader (you have 20 seconds), then Save. One card belongs to one user only, and the program only ever shows its last 4 digits.
- Card login: on the login screen just swipe the card — you're in right away, no picking your
nameand no password. - Approving with the card: when a cashier tries something outside their rights (void a receipt, a return, a discount over the limit, opening the drawer…) the manager sign-in screen appears: the manager swipes their card instead of typing the password. A cashier's card is not accepted there.
- Lost card? Settings → Users → the user → Clear the card, then register a new one. The password always keeps working alongside the card.
