18Optional features (new in 1.4)
Settings → Features: every switch here is off by default. Turn on only what your shop needs; the buttons and fields appear after you save, and nothing changes until you do.
- Discounts: a Discount button under the cart — on the selected line or the whole receipt, amount or %, with a cashier ceiling (above it a manager must approve). A per-product sale
priceshows on the button as “4.00 (was 5.00)”. - Returns: Reports → Receipts → Return: pick the items and quantities, refund cash / to card / off the credit account. A return receipt with its own number prints and the stock comes back.
- Shifts & Z report: open the shift with the float, cash in/out with a note, and close by counting the drawer — the program prints expected vs counted and the difference, with every detail (cash/card/credit, discounts, returns, VAT, movements).
- Split payment: part cash, part card, on one receipt.
- VAT: a percentage and tax number print on the receipt (prices inclusive) and total in reports.
- By weight & scale barcodes: fractional quantities with units (kg, g, L), a Qty button, and EAN-13 scale labels (
priceor weight) that add the right quantity on scan. - Sizes & add-ons: small/medium/large, extra shot, no sugar… a touch picker on add; the choice prints on the receipt and the kitchen ticket.
- Tables & held orders: Hold parks the cart on a table (and sends it to the kitchen); Tables resumes it for payment with the same number.
- Product pictures on the sales buttons — since 4.1 also switched on or off at the bottom of Settings → Products (section 31).
- Supplier invoices & payments, and expenses: what you owe each supplier, rent/salaries/electricity… and a net profit line in the Profit report.
- Daily automatic backup on exit or shift close, and a daily summary on Telegram or e-mail at the time you choose. The phone dashboard installs as an app and gained cards for the drawer, suppliers owed and last backup.
- Close report by e-mail (3.2): Settings → E-mail: your own e-mail account (Gmail app password, Outlook, Zoho — server, port 587, TLS, user, password, from address), the recipients, a send time and what to include (daily summary, Z report, low-stock list, expiring list). Plain text, nothing attached. It goes out once a day: when the last shift is closed (with shifts on, after the send time) or at the send time; a failed send is retried once and logged. Send test now shows the result at once.
- Product editor fields (3.0): three switches that are on by default — Cost & profit, Expiry dates and Stock (on hand & full stock). Switch off what your shop never fills in to hide those fields, columns and filters (see the products section); nothing already saved is lost.
Scale connected to the PC (3.2)
Besides scale barcodes, PosMasr can read the weight straight from the scale over a COM or USB-serial cable (the USB kind shows up as a COM port in Windows). Tap a by-weight product and the weight lands in the cart — no label, no typing.
- Set-up: Settings → Scale tab → switch on Read the weight from the scale, pick the port (Refresh lists what Windows sees), the speed (usually 9600) and the protocol: Auto tries every format; or choose CAS (PD-II / ER / AP), Mettler Toledo (continuous or SICS), DIGI DS (a line with a number + kg/g) or Generic (any bare number, in the unit you pick). Turning it on also switches on fractional quantities.
- Test: put something on the scale and press Test the scale — you see the parsed weight and the raw bytes the scale sent, so a wrong speed or protocol is obvious in seconds.
- Selling: tapping a by-weight product reads the scale (up to 2.5 s) and adds the item with that weight — in grams for gram items, kg otherwise. Only a stable reading is accepted (you can allow moving readings in the tab). If the scale does not answer, the number pad opens with the reason in the status line and a Weigh on the scale button to try again; Ctrl+W re-weighs the selected cart line (it is in the F1 list).

More than one till in the shop: make one PC the primary (with remote monitoring on) and the others secondary. A secondary pulls the products, stock and clients from the primary every minute and sends it every receipt and credit entry (queued while the network is down). Receipt numbers come from the primary. Edit products, receive stock and count on the primary or from the phone page.
Secondary: after saving it starts pulling the products from the primary. Tables, shifts and the drawer stay per till.
Print the product description under its name
The drawer cable (RJ11) plugs into the thermal printer. The program sends an open pulse to the printer. Try it from the Tests tab.
The drawer is connected to the PC through an RJ11 to USB/serial trigger. Pick its port, or use "Detect" on the Tests tab to try every port.
The printer is on the network (LAN cable or Wi-Fi) with the drawer plugged into its RJ11 socket. Enter the printer's IP and port 9100 — the pulse goes straight to the printer, bypassing the Windows driver.

Egypt's general VAT rate is 14% (the "Egypt" button fills it in); leave 0 if the shop is not VAT-registered.
