Projects
Choose the appropriate workspace and branch. Your plan, enabled modules and team permissions determine which actions are available.
44.1 Projects: switching it on and the settings
- Settings → Projects (a manager), or Settings → Modules: switch it on. Customers must be on.
- The defaults of a new project: the retention % (up to 50 %), the markup % and the billing rate per hour; after how many days approved billable time not invoiced alerts the owner (30); how many days after a project is done its retention falls due; the timesheet's first weekday.
- An hourly cost per person for people without
HR's pay or a salary on their staff record. The cost of an hour isHR's pay whenHRis on and the person has anHRfile, else the salary on the staff record, else this rate; it is kept on each time entry when recorded. - Team → the person → Rights: see projects and their money, manage projects, approve time. Managers and the owner have them all. Without the money right a person sees only the projects they work on, their own tasks and time — never contract values, costs or margins.
