Groups of companies
Choose the appropriate workspace and branch. Your plan, enabled modules and team permissions determine which actions are available.
43.11 A group of companies (Consolidation)
- The owner of a shop on
Chain: Reports → Groups → create a group, then invite the owners of the other shops or companies by the e-mail they sign in with (up to 20 shops). - Each invited owner sees the invitation on the same page and approves it with what they allow (stock transfers, shared products and prices, customers) — nothing of their shop is read before. Any plan may join; leave any time.
- Name an accountant or a viewer from the member shops. Group dashboard: per shop and for the group, without the business between them. With Books in each shop: the group P&L and balance sheet, VAT side by side, the closing of each month; CSV, Excel or print. Ask the group: “sales of the group today”.
- Transfers between the group's shops at an agreed
price(a sale in one, a purchase in the other, settled later); products, prices and suppliers pushed after a preview; one credit limit for a customer across the group.
Plans: creating a group is part of Chain (nothing new billed); any plan may join. Group transfers are not posted into each shop's Books by themselves yet. Online only. More: A group of companies

Link your shops or companies into one group and see them together: sales, profit, stock, cash and what is owed — per shop and in total, without the sales between them. Every shop's owner approves before anything is shared.
If you approve, the group's owner and the people they name will see your shop's figures together with the other shops'. You choose below what else is allowed. You can leave at any time.
Invitations for your shop · Allow stock transfers between my shop and the group's shops · Share my customers' balances for group-wide credit limits · Approve and join · Decline · Only the shop's owner can approve. · Your groups · No group yet. · Open · Members and settings · Create a group · Group name · Create the group

Type the e-mail address the other shop's owner signs in with. They approve on their own Groups page; nothing is shared before that.
Give a person of one of the group's shops a role: a viewer sees the dashboard; an accountant also sees the statements, VAT and closing, and makes transfers.
Your shop's figures are shared with the group while it is a member. These choices are yours alone; the group's owner cannot change them.
Mark a customer or supplier of your shop as one of the group's shops: sales to it and deliveries from it count as between the group's shops, and the group leaves them out.
Each shop's accounts go to the group account of their type by themselves; change one here only if it belongs elsewhere.

The goods leave your shop at its cost and arrive at the other shop at the price you agree: a sale document here, a purchase document there. Both shops must allow transfers.
Pick what to send and to which shop. You see every addition and change first; nothing is written until you apply the lines you tick. A product the other shop has keeps its own name and barcode.
A customer known by phone in several group shops: one limit for all of them. Each shop gets the limit less what the customer owes the others; its tills check it, even offline.

Each shop's figures are its own reports' figures. The group total leaves out what the shops sold to each other and what they owe each other.
From each shop's Books, mapped to the group chart.
Each shop's VAT is its own return: shown side by side, never added together.
Ask for example: “sales of the group today”, “group profit this month”, “what do customers owe the group”, “which shop is below budget”.
