Settings → Tests → Backup & restore opens a two-part screen:

• Where (3.0): the Backup button on the sales screen (manager, Ctrl+B) or Settings → the Backup tab: back up now to a USB stick or folder, restore, open the data folder, and the automatic daily backup settings — all in one place.
• Back up: choose where — on disk (next to the program) or a USB drive (appears automatically when plugged in) — and press Back up now. A dated folder is created with products, settings, logo, credit customers, users and all sales.
• Restore: pick the backups location (or Choose folder…), select a backup from the list (date + receipt count), tick only the parts you want (settings & logo / products & stock / credit customers / users / sales history) and press Restore selected.
• A copy at PosMasr (4.0): the boxed section at the bottom of the Backup tab. Products list only is on from the start and uploads once a day: names, categories, barcodes, prices and costs, so we can hand your list back if the PC dies. Full backup (the same files as a local backup: settings with every password and secret key removed, customers and suppliers, users, sales of the last 400 days, the logo; never the license file, up to 40 MB) is there when you want it, and No copy at PosMasr switches everything off. Upload now sends one immediately; the line under the buttons shows the last upload.
• The shared catalogue (4.0): the product data you upload (names, barcodes, categories, prices and costs) also builds a catalogue we give back to the shops that share, so a new shop starts from a ready list instead of typing hundreds of products. Sales, customers, users and passwords are never part of it, and the catalogue never says which shop sells what. The catalogue is open to shops that share their list — it exists because shops share theirs. You are sharing when A copy at PosMasr is on (products list or full backup), Upload automatically once a day is ticked, and Do not use my products in the shared catalogue is not ticked. If you would rather not take part, tick that box or switch the copy off: the copy, if you keep it, goes on working as a backup, and everything already in your program stays — the products, and the pictures already applied to them — but Pick from the catalogue and the barcode lookup in the product screen are no longer available (section 31). • Restore from PosMasr… downloads your newest copy into a folder you pick (nothing in your data changes yet) and opens the restore screen on it, so you tick the parts you want as usual. It works only on a PC with an activated license — the program proves the copy is yours with its activation key — so a trial cannot restore; on a new PC ask us for the key first. Passwords and secret keys (e-mail, Telegram, e-receipts) are not in the copy: type them again after restoring the settings.
